Angiology

Angiology is a branch of internal medicine that focuses on function and diseases of the arteries, the veins and the smallest blood vessels (capillaries). Main areas of angiology are degenerative and inflammatory diseases of the limb vessels (e.g. peripheral arterial disease, venous thrombosis, varicose veins, edema forms, white-finger disease), the brain-supplying vessels (narrowing of the carotid artery, stroke) and the abdominal vessels (e.g. aortic aneurysm, narrowing of the renal arteries or the intestinal vessels).

State-of-the-art equipment combined with trained personnel allow our experienced angiologist Dr. Gerson Strubel an accurate assessment including early vessel changes. Collaboration with designated vascular centers ensures rapid and high-quality advanced diagnostics (CT angiography, MR angiography, fine needle angiography) and interventional / surgical therapy. As a trained physician specialized on preventive medicine, Dr. Strubel has a special interest in a holistic approach to the individual planning of each treatment and the prevention of vascular disease. This includes the focus on the individual, his wishes, hopes and fears .
